Lowveld National Botanical Garden in Nelspruit is absolutely breath-taking. It is a place you go to, to find yourself. My most memorable moment there was crossing a long bridge with my family. You need to have good walking or hiking shoes (available from Amazon) in order to reach the other side. The rapid waterfall at the end made it worth it.

It was the sort of sight that made you calm down and stand silently in awe. I was so glad that I was surrounded by loved ones who could be witnesses to the splendour that I saw. There were a considerable number of international tourists who were also silenced by the sounds, movements and the feeling that there must be a Creator; God Who loves us unconditionally.

It was my first time there was with my family. My parents regularly visit this incredible place and purchase a plant or two to plant in our garden at home in Pretoria. It is the type of place you want to take back home with you. The routes are informative and downright amazing.

It offers spacious grounds and delicious food is on sale. Remember to bring a hat (available from Amazon), UV protection sunglasses and ample sunscreen (available from Amazon). One can’t, but feel a little silly when you describe it because you know you cannot do it justice. It speaks on its own behalf and commands your entire being to take it in and relax. Hush. Listen. Here it is.
